The “Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain” campaign, launched on 22nd March 2021, aims to
promote rainwater harvesting and water conservation. It focuses on mapping and inventory of
water bodies, scientific planning, establishment of Jal Shakti Kendras, afforestation, and
awareness generation. In continuation of these efforts, Jal Pakhwada will be observed from 16th
to 30th April, 2026 in all schools and educational institutions across the country.
All schools are requested to actively participate in Jal Pakhwada 2026 and organize the following
suggested participatory activities during this period: water conservation
